The Vacation--Grand Tetons

I am on my family vacation as I write. I am in a campground in Jackson, WY looking in awe at the Grand Tetons. God did amazing handiwork!

I ordered an elk burger, but the cafe was out of elk. I settled for a buffalo burger. It was delicious.

We are traveling with my 5-year-old Shih Tzu, Taffy, and my two new puppies--Tiki & Tulip. We are having an adventure, but these are the memories that will last a lifetime. This is a picture of them traveling in my grandson Michael's car seat. I know I am nuts.

God is good!

Genesis 1:9-11, And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good. Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. (NIV)

I'm almost envious of you! :) (Realizing of course, I'm not to covet).

Seriously, the Tetons is one of my favorite places. My husband and I vacationed there several years ago. Be sure to visit the Chapel of Transfiguration - it is a simple log cabin church with a majestic view behind the pulpit.

Jenny Lake is another beautiful spot. Of course wildlife abounds there and in Yellowstone.

Enjoy!

Susanne - Take in every moment of God's Glory. We were just there in May. Beauty beyond description! I felt like a bystander, a unnoticed guest, with the breathtaking view of watching nature sing it's praise to God.
You have me longing to be where you are (and I just read yesterday that Beth Moore's daughter and family are there too!)

There is a sweet sweet gal who owns the coffee shop (inside one of the only 5 houses or so) in Kelly. Stop in and have a cup of tea - she is delightful and her stories of calling in late to work because buffalo slept in her driveway the night before are hilarious!

Ok I am getting off here because I am inching my way into coveting your location instead of appreciating my very flat Indiana...Thank you Lord for all of creation - even corn fields!

Enjoy, Savor, Rest!
