Late Night Phone Call

I just hate it when the phone rings late at night or too early in the morning. It happened to me at 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning. I knew it was either a wrong number or bad news. I hoped for the first option, but it was the latter—bad news.

My son’s throat had swollen shut and my daughter-in-law was taking him to the doctor.

Yesterday, four days later, my son was released from the hospital. It was a long and exhausting four days. But thankfully, he is on the road to recovery.

Life is topsy-turvy. One moment you are sleeping sweetly and soundly and then suddenly you are turned upside down on the hardwood floor of life’s difficult circumstances.

Thankfully, Jesus is there to wrap us His healing arms of comfort. What would we do without His peace that surpasses understanding?

Once again...you have blessed me. I recieve the Encouragement Today from Prov.31 Min. and your devotions are ALWAY such an encouragement! TO MY DAY!
This one was particularly for me...at this time...with what we are dealing with! I read many of these, rarely visit the writer--mainly because I am reading in spurts while I am at work---but I had to take time to tell you what a blessing this one was ---as we wade "waist deep" in the trouble of my daughter's life. (This issue is not blogable right now---maybe the Lord will move on me to blog it when the healing comes) But---through this trial....Faith cometh!
I BELIEVE it!
Thank you for your dedication to Him!

Hi, Susanne! I am new to your blog. I read today's P31 Ministries devotion, and I just had to say thank you for that. I am having similar issues in my house you had in yours, and I love that you just allowed God to speak through you to me.

I am glad to hear your son is o.k.
